From sub-Saharan Africa to Egypt and Asia. Ginger was a valuable commodity and at times ginger’s value rivaled Gold. Ginger by way of the spice trade made its way to Europe during the 1st century A.D. (Zingiber officinale) or ginger has been used for  Cancer prevention, Cold and Flu Prevention, respiratory issues, immunity booster and circulation.  As a child, my mother would give me ginger root tea to calm my stomach and curb my asthma. I have also read it aids women with morning sickness as well.

Ginger is closely related to turmeric, another great root that has been touted for its anticarcinogenic properties as well as use in the detoxification of the body. We will get back to tumeric later.

Your circulatory system is critical to your overall health. It can be stressed due to diet and activity or inactivity. Toxins and accumulated fats can clog arteries and damage your heart. The power of Ginger like garlic can help break down cholesterol and make sure that once it’s gone It doesn’t return. The Chinese have made Ginger a medicinal staple. I would urge you to research their uses for Ginger so that you have access to a baseline knowledge rooted in millennia of study and documentation.  The fact is evident Ginger is incredibly good for you and the preservation of your health.
